Child Protection & Safeguarding at Larne High School
Safeguarding and child protection are central to the ethos of Larne High School. We are committed to providing a safe, caring and supportive environment where every young person can feel secure, valued and able to reach their full potential.
Safeguarding is the responsibility of everyone in our school community. All staff have a duty to promote the safety and wellbeing of our pupils, build positive relationships and respond appropriately to any concerns.
Our pastoral care system provides pupils with support through their Form Tutor, Head of Year and wider pastoral team, with additional support from the Senior Leadership Team where required.
Where there is a concern about a pupil’s safety or wellbeing, this will be taken seriously and dealt with in accordance with our Child Protection and Safeguarding procedures.
